Jaya’s film to compete in Barcelona Film Festival

Online Desk: Popular Bengali actress-cum-model Jaya Ahsan starrer film ‘Nakshi Kathar Jamin’ recently competed in the 53rd International Film Festival will take part in the 19th Barcelona International Film Festival.
Confirming the news in a Facebook status on Saturday, the actress said that the film has been selected to compete in the festival.
About significance of the festival, Joya said “The festival is special as it is based on human rights-oriented film festival. This is not only famous in Spain but also one of the best festivals across the world. The film will be screened at 7pm on December 3.”
Directed by Akram Khan, the film was produced based on the story of noted writer and novelist Hasan Azizul Haq’s ‘Bibader Kotha’.
Jaya played role of Rahela in the government granted film.
