Our Correspondent, Manikganj: In front of the slogan ‘Sapnamoy Jeevan Garbe’, the nation’s kandari will be yours’, the Shishu Baran Utsav and memorial ceremony for the best mother was held at Shibalaya in Manikganj on Wednesday.

On this occasion, 2 thousand 125 students of 79 government primary schools of Shiabalaya  Upazila were welcomed through the program.

In the meantime, the authorities at Teota Government Primary School organized an informal ceremony on the occasion of awarding Child reception and best mother.

After cutting the cake, the guests who arrived at the event welcomed the newly admitted students with flowers. Later, class-wise best mother 2022 was selected based on three factors: attendance, school uniform and bringing tiffin to school. On this occasion five best mothers were awarded crests and also wore Uttari. Speakers said that this would be helpful in preventing school dropouts and increasing student attendance.

Shibalaya Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Zahidur Rahman presided over the program.  Upazila Perished Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj Rezaur Rahman Khan (janu), Upazila Education Officer Tabshira Islam Liza, Teota 1st Union Parishad Chairman Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Teota Academy Head master Mohammad Mozammel Haque, General Secretary of Bangladesh Journalist Association Manikganj District unit Mohammad Shahjahan Biswas and School Headmaster Mohammad Abdul Khalek and others spoken on the occasion.
