Online Desk: Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners Association has decided to sell advance bus tickets on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. The bus companies will start selling advance tickets for the Eid holidaymakers from April 7.

Shubhankar Ghosh Rakesh, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners Association and Managing Director of Shyamoli NR Travels came up with the development on Wednesday afternoon.

Shubhankar Ghosh Rakesh said, “We will start selling Eid advance tickets from April 7. Passengers will get tickets from the respective bus counters from that morning. Advance tickets will be given from April 7 to April 16.”

He also said that the monitoring team will work on behalf of the bus owners so that the passengers can buy advance bus tickets from the counter in an orderly manner and no one can sell tickets in the black market. Because the police administration will also work with the monitoring team of the bus owners. Apart from this, ticket black marketing and passenger harassment will also be prevented through administration surveillance.

Shubhankar Ghosh Rakesh said that the bus fare will be charged according to the fixed fare of BRTA, and additional fares cannot be charged beyond the fare list. All bus owners have been given that instruction.
