Online Desk: Legendary singer Runa Laila took part at a special talk on Channel i on her 70th birthday on Thursday.

Marking her birthday, a red carpet reception was given to Runa in the TV channel.  At this moment, Channel i Director Shaikh Siraj welcomed her by flower.

By cutting a cake and handling over a crest, Runa’s birthday was celebrated at studio.

To show special respect to Runa, a new song based on her successful life’ is played on the TV screen.

Penned by Hasnat Karim Pintu, the composer of the song is Monowar Hossain Tutul.

Four Channel i Shera Kontho singers, who are the followers of Runa, lent their voices to the song.

The singers are Channel i Sera Kantho winners Konal, Jhilik, Mejbah and Tariq Mridha.  Runa engaged with various memorable conversation with them for an hour. Shaikh Siraj also participated with the conversation.

Runa, who lent her voice over 10,000 songs at 18 languages in her long musical career, was born in Sylhet on November 17, 1952.
